Laser therapy (also known as red-light therapy, low-level laser therapy, or cold laser therapy) uses non-invasive light to increase blood circulation, decrease inflammation and pain, and promote healing. At PawSteps Veterinary Center, we provide laser therapy in conjunction with other treatments. Improvement is often noticed within hours of treatment depending on the condition being treated and you pet’s response. Laser therapy can be used when your pet is undergoing rehabilitation from trauma, injury, or surgery, or help treat osteoarthritis, intervertebral disc disease, and cellulitis.
