Signs of an Emergency

Any of these require immediate veterinary care.

If you are unsure if your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call us, at the very least, we can guide you through what steps to take to put your mind at ease.. Please note: we are NOT an Emergency hospital, pet’s experiencing any symptoms below should be taken immediately to the nearest emergency hospital.

  • Trauma or Injury (hurt in a fight, fallen from high up, hit by car, etc)
  • Non-responsive or unusually lethargic
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Eye injury (redness, swelling or discharge)
  • Sudden weakness or collapse
  • Seizures (new or changing in length/symptoms)
  • Ingestion of poison, toxin, or foreign object
  • In persistent pain (keeps complaining or crying)
  • Concerns with pregnancy or labor
  • Sudden or unexplained weight loss
  • Lumps (especially if they bleed or grow rapidly)
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Persistent or severe coughing
  • Bleeding (any part of body, or in feces or urine)
