Our Policies

No Show/Late Cancellation

When an appointment is scheduled and a client fails to show, call, or notify PawSteps of their inability to keep this appointment time, it impacts our ability to provide services to both the pet and other clients. Fees for missed appointments are as follows: 1st – $75, 2nd – $150, 3rd – $200.00, 4th – Dismissed as client. No Show fees must be paid prior to any services being rendered and accounts past 60 days will incur a 1% per month interest fee. Regular appointments require a minimum of 12 hour notice and all surgeries require 48 hour notice.

Prescription Refill Policy

We ask for a minimum of 24-hour notice for medication refills. As we are often fully scheduled, we may not be able to fill medications the same day, nor can we guarantee such. Since December 2019 our hospital no longer works with third party pharmacies such as 1-800 Petmeds, Walmart Pet Rx, etc. However clients can order medication through our online pharmacy and Chewy.

Zero Tolerance Policy

We would like to thank every one of our wonderful clients that have been polite and understanding during this extremely stressful time. Our team is working harder than ever and are trying their very best to adapt to the ever-changing situation.

With that said, we would like to remind everyone that PawSteps Veterinary Center has a Zero-Tolerance policy towards verbal or physical abuse. The practice takes it very seriously if a member of staff is treated in an abusive or offensive way. This will not be tolerated by the practice and you will then receive a letter asking you to seek veterinary treatment elsewhere.
